Marriott International will be welcoming a number of select hotels to its distribution system and its Marriott Bonvoy loyalty programme. The American group has just signed a partnership agreement with MGM Resorts International to integrate the following into its offer some of the biggest hotel-casinos in the United States with more than 40,000 rooms. " We look forward to increasing our global room distribution by 2.4 %, while strengthening our presence on the Las Vegas Strip and in other attractive destinations across the United States.said Anthony Capuano, CEO of Marriott International.
The early stages of this agreement had already seen the affiliation of the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas to the Autograph Collection brand. But the relationship between these two heavyweights of American tourism will now go much further with the creation of the 'MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy', which will be launched in October. Bellagio, Mandalay, LuxorNew York-New York in Las Vegas, but also the Borgata in Atlantic City and MGM Grand Detroit among others: this new collection will encompass 17 resorts in all. Some of these hotels in Las Vegas will also carry a Marriott brand: the Luxury Collection for the Bellagio, Tribute Portfolio for the Park MGM and the Autograph Collection for the ARIA Resort and the Cosmopolitan.
The aim of this partnership is also to organising bridges between the 180 million Marriott Bonvoy members and the 40 million MGM Rewards participants. Loyal Marriott guests will enjoy benefits at MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy properties, while MGM Rewards members will enjoy benefits at the 8,000 hotels in Marriott's global portfolio.
