After Dijon and Rennes Last year, Mama Shelter extended its collection of addresses in French cities with a hotel in Nice. The project, the result of the renovation of a municipal services building into a lifestyle hotel, had already been announced, but the opening date is now known, 13 June soon. Just before the start of the summer season, when you can take full advantage of two of the establishment's main attractions: its swimming pool lined with deckchairs with awnings and sunbeds, and its rooftop where you can enjoy an aperitif, a barbecue or a pizza al taglio seated under the pergolas on large wooden benches. And there's also a patio with a green inner walkway, which may or may not be covered depending on the weather.
" The Mama Shelter Nice is a haven for happy holidaymakers and nomads passing through, delighted to savour the gentle lifestyle of this beautiful city." said Serge Trigano, founder of the brand, which has since been acquired by Accor and Ennismore. This is not to say that the Mama Shelter Nice is dedicated solely to lazing around or to leisure guests on holiday by the Mediterranean. Located in the Riquier district, 600 m from the Côte d'Azur's Vieux Port, the establishment is also aimed at business travellers and seminars, with its cosy meeting rooms, and equipped with TV screens, Click & Share systems and, little extras, a coffee machine and a mini bar with sweets and soft drinks.

Mama Nice has two Workshops, 42 m² and 78 m², which can be connected to each other and to the Breakroom. A 47 m² space in line with the spirit of the brand, where you can work, chat and relax around arcade games, pinball machines and table football. There are also two Studios that can accommodate around twenty people for more intimate meetings.
Easily accessible by tram from the station or airport, the hotel offers 102 rooms for visiting professionals or business groups. All equipped to Mama standards - comfortable queen or king size beds, large screen TVs with free movies, organic toiletries - these rooms offer 15 to 17 m² of space for the smallest, 17 to 21 m² for the Medium, around 24 m² for the Large Mama and up to 49 m² for the XXL Mama Family, which can accommodate five people.
No Mama would be complete without a friendly and attractive bar-restaurant. This is naturally the case in Nice with a restaurant whose design pays tribute to the artists who have passed through the French Riviera. " I immersed myself in the palettes, motifs and subjects of Matisse's collages, Braque's birds, Picasso's ceramics from his Vallauris period and, more prosaically, the Mediterranean atmosphere." said Benjamin El Doghaïli, the project's designer and head of the Mama Shelter design studio.
Based on the brand's great classics - coquillettes, crispy free-range chicken salad and warm cookies for dessert - the restaurant has added its own special touch. personal touch with Mediterranean finger food and Argentinian barbecued meats, accompanied by homemade chips. All accompanied by cocktails and music.
While the brand's development involves conquering France's secondary towns, the chain, which benefits from the support of the Accor group, is also opening up to more distant horizons with another flagship opening on the year's programme, that of the Mama Shelter Dubai.
