Air France will continue to expand its network this winter. For the IATA winter 2024-2025 season (November 2024 to March 2025), the airline will be offering 5 additional destinations from its Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub. Three of these are new services, while the other two are extensions of flights launched this summer.
More leisure than business destinations
The company's customers will be able to go directly to Salvador de Bahia in Brazil, Malé in the Maldives and Kiruna in Sweden.
Salvador de Bahia (Brazil) will have three flights a week (Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays) from 28 October 2024. An Airbus A350-900 will operate the flights. Passengers will be offered 324 seats (34 in Business, 24 in Premium Economy and 266 in Economy).
Brazil's ancient capital, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will thus become Air France's 5th destination in Brazil. The airline serves Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Fortaleza and Bélem. (the latter being served from Cayenne). In winter 2024, Air France will operate flights to 30 flights a week to and from Brazil. Thanks to a commercial partnership with the Brazilian company GOLAir France customers can connect to 40 domestic destinations in Brazil.
Malé (Maldives) will appear for a short period in the airline's timetable. Air France will offer 2 flights a week (on Fridays and Sundays) from 20 December 2024 to 5 January 2025. The route will also be served by a 292-seat Airbus A350-900.
Kiruna (Sweden) will be served by one flight a week on Saturdays from 21 December 2024, operated by Airbus A319. After Rovaniemi, Kittila (Finland), Tromsø (Norway) and Narvik Loften (Norway, served only in summer), Kiruna will be Air France's 5th destination in Lapland. The town lies 200 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle and is ideal for trying to spot the Northern Lights.
Denver and Phoenix extended in winter
Air France will also continue to strengthen its services to the United States. The company will be extending its winter service to Denver (Colorado, USA) and Phoenix (Arizona, USA)with 3 flights a week to each city, departing from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Until now, the service to Denver has only been available in summer. The Phoenix route is new for summer 2024.
The first Paris CDG-Phoenix flight will take off on 23 May. The service will operate 3 times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The flights will be operated by Boeing 787-9. The aircraft will offer 30 seats in the Business cabin, 21 in Premium Economy and 228 in Economy.
