Even though Oman Air is due to join the airline before the end of the year the oneworld alliance and therefore coordinate its frequent flyer programme with its future partners within the alliance, the airline has signed a cooperation agreement with Flying Blue. The agreement came into effect on June 3.
From now on thehe members of Flying Blue can collect miles or spend them on flights operated by Oman's national carrier. The miles awarded vary according to the booking class. However, passengers receive miles regardless of the fare paid.
The choice of Oman Air for awards seems to be a rather attractive one for travellers, as the Omani carrier regularly offers promotions for a lower number of miles than other carriers.
