This initiative is part of the company's efforts to provide passengers with all possible information in real time about their journey, particularly in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
For a number of years now, the airline has been calling on specialist teams to write and send text messages to its passengers to provide them with information about the airline and its services. almost instantaneous information on a given flight, from gate changes and boarding times to details of aircraft changes, crew reorganisations and weather conditions.
To this end, the teams usegenerative artificial intelligence (IAg) to provide more travellers with real-time information in the event of flight delays due to bad weather. In addition, passengers on all flights can view weather maps in the United app under flight status updates. United also displays radar maps in the gate area when a flight has been delayed due to weather.
