Airline companies Air Austral and Aircalin are strengthening connectivity between the French overseas territories in the South West and the Pacific by coordinating their schedules and services between La Réunion and Nouméa. From Saturday 1 November 2025, the new agreement will offer travellers a simplified route between the two territories and regions via Bangkok. Passengers will be able to fly on this route according to the following timetables.
From La Réunion, however, the connection will be long. The flight will leave La Réunion every Wednesday at 20:00 for an arrival at Bangkok (BKK) at 06:55 on Thursday. The connecting flight will be on the same day but at 16:25, arriving in Noumea (NOU) at 06:30 the following morning. This means you can go shopping, have lunch or relax for a few hours in the Thai capital...
The return Noumea-Reunion route will run every Wednesday and Saturday, and offers more attractive connections. The flight will leave Noumea at 01:30 in the morning and arrive in Bangkok at 07:40. The flight will then take off again from the Thai capital at 9.00am, reaching La Réunion at 1.45pm.
Passengers choosing this route will benefit from a single fare with a single ticket for the entire journey. With the assurance that their baggage will be transported without a break in the load.
An alliance serving overseas France
By joining forces, Air Austral and Aircalin confirm their joint commitment to facilitating exchanges between the French overseas regions. And to help strengthen inter-regional cohesion and mobility.
