The return flight is scheduled for 25 March 2026. On that date, Air India - which had packed up during the health crisis - will once again set course for Italy. Four flights a week will be operated between Delhi and Rome's Leonardo da Vinci - Fiumicino Airport. The flights will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and will be operated by Boeing 787-8 aircraft. On the programme: 238 Economy Class seats and 18 fully reclining Business Class seats.
With this return, Air India is banking not only on point-to-point traffic but also, of course, on the vast network in South-East Asia offered via connections at the Delhi hub. In particular, connections from Rome to Bangkok, Colombo, Ho Chi Minh City, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Phuket and Singapore have been optimised.
