Scandic is to strengthen the network of its Scandic Go brand, unveiled in 2020. The Nordic hotel operator announced its new project on Thursday. The budget chain is heading for Stavanger, where it will open a new address in 2028. The Norwegian destination has a particularly strong reputation in the energy sector.

He continues: " Today, we already have several fantastic Scandic hotels in the city, and we're now expanding our offering by adding a Scandic Go. Our ambition with Scandic Go is to lead the market in the growing economy segment, which is a key part of our growth strategy. ".
The Scandic Go Stavanger hotel will have 152 rooms, located in the city centre in a building where work will start next year. " Scandic Go opens the door to faster hotel start-ups, as we can easily renovate and convert existing office buildings and premises into hotels in attractive urban locations. "says Jesper Engman, Director of Development at Scandic Hotels Group.
Scandic currently has five hotels in Stavanger, and the future Scandic Go will be the third representative of the budget chain in Norway.
