Interview: Ha Dao Manh, Director of Sales for Vietnam Airlines in France

Ha Dao Manh - Historically and culturally, France has always held an important place for Vietnam, and Paris is therefore considered by Vietnam Airlines as an important hub, with numerous frequencies to Vietnam: ten flights per week as well as 3 flights in cooperation with Air France. Paris' geographical position in Europe, its role as the main European hub for Skyteam and our entry into this alliance are all conditions that enable us to provide passengers with excellent connections in Europe.

 

 

H. D. M. - We are continuing our partnership with Air France on the basis of strategic code-shares for our specific networks. Since September, our TGVAir agreement with SNCF has enabled us to connect 19 provincial cities with Paris-CDG airport. Our flight to London is currently celebrating its first year of operation, and a route to Berlin is scheduled to open next year. We also have a stronger presence in Europe with our flights to Frankfurt and Moscow.

 

 

H. D. M. - Vietnam Airlines offers its own frequent flyer programme which is also valid and reciprocal on the Skyteam network. Specific contracts with attractive and flexible fare conditions have also been signed with major companies to enable us to offer business customers an attractive package. Our Skyteam membership also enables us to benefit from the advantages of the alliance, the various Skyteam lounges and, of course, the Sky Priority programme, which offers a dedicated service for business passengers. Finally, we offer a Deluxe Economy class, an intermediary between Economy and Business, which enables us to offer passengers a product with real added value and improved comfort for a fare slightly higher than our Economy class.

 

 

H. D. M. - After a slowdown in the summer, Vietnam Airlines has returned to positive growth similar to previous years and continues to expand through a constantly improving network and service.
