Since 24 June, business travellers in the Basque Country have had access to a new business destination: for the first time in its history, a Finnair aircraft has landed in Biarritz.

Finnair will be operating two flights a week between Biarritz and Helsinki until 9 August. This will make it easier for business travellers from the Basque Coast to reach the capital's airport, as well as all thirteen Asian destinations served from the Finnish hub. The Biarritz/Helsinki flight times have also been programmed to optimise connections. "Biarritz represents real potential in the French market for our airline," says Javier Roig, Finnair's Sales Director for Southern Europe. "In addition to local residents, who will be able to travel to Helsinki and Asia, we are proud to be able to offer our Finnish and Asian customers a new destination in France. Our presence from French cities has been strengthened and we hope to be able to offer this destination to our passengers every summer".
