Almost exactly one month after the start of the massive strike action launched by the pilots, Air France has announced that it has finalised a text with the unions representing the pilots to ensure the development of Transavia France. On the agenda: the integration of Boeing 737s beyond the current limit of 14 aircraft, from summer 2015 "in order to accelerate the Group's development in the fast-growing leisure-low-cost market". In the interests of competitiveness, "pilots assigned to Transavia France will be employed under that airline's operating and remuneration conditions", while "Air France pilots assigned to Transavia France will have two co-existing employment contracts (Transavia France and Air France)". The text will be submitted to the SNPL Air France ALPA Council on Friday 17 October, and will then be put to a referendum with a view to signature in mid-November, according to the company.
