Le Bourget airport rounded off its centenary year with a bang, taking first place in the ranking of Europe's busiest airports for business aviation. With a total of 51,186 private jet movements, the Paris region airport is well ahead of Geneva (35,484) and Nice-Côte d'Azur (31,474) in the Top 20 published in January by the specialist in private aircraft charter and jet rental bookings. France - and the Alpes Maritimes - therefore feature prominently in this 2014 ranking, especially as Cannes airport is in 13th position. This ranking confirms the analysis made a few months earlier by Adam Twidell, CEO of PrivateFly, who pointed out that "France is the biggest market in Europe" for business aviation. The full ranking is available on PrivateFly website
