Le Bourget airport rounded off its centenary year with a bang, taking first place in the ranking of Europe's busiest airports for business aviation. With a total of 51,186 private jet movements, the Paris region airport is well ahead of Geneva (35,484) and Nice-Côte d'Azur (31,474) in the Top 20 published in January by the specialist in private aircraft charter and jet rental bookings. France - and the Alpes Maritimes - therefore feature prominently in this 2014 ranking, especially as Cannes airport is in 13th position. This ranking confirms the analysis made a few months earlier by Adam Twidell, CEO of PrivateFly, who pointed out that "France is the biggest market in Europe" for business aviation.
