From early next summer, business travellers will be able to stay connected during their short and medium-haul flights on the Lufthansa network. The German group will become the first carrier to offer high-speed Internet access on European and domestic flights. "Now that we have equipped our entire long-haul fleet with the FlyNet system, we are continuing our momentum by offering Internet access on board our short and medium-haul flights," notes Carsten Spohr, Chairman of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG. "This makes us the first European airline to offer our customers the possibility of surfing the Internet at a speed similar to that available at home. In addition to classic e-mail, the service should also allow access to streaming video.
