In just under two months' time, on 28 March to be exact, Icelandair will enter a new phase in its development on the French market. The Icelandic airline, which has been present on the Paris-Rykjavík route for four decades, will launch a new scheduled flight between the two capitals, departing from Orly airport. Icelandair already offers daily flights to Reykjavík from Paris-CDG airport, but this new service could attract more travellers, particularly in the business travel market. In total, Icelandair will be offering 23 weekly flights between Paris and Iceland this summer: 17 from Roissy-Charles De Gaulle and up to 6 flights from Orly airport, which thus becomes Icelandair's 27th European destination, and the 4th new service of the year after Aberdeen, Chicago and Montreal. "Orly is a fast-developing hub where demand is growing," says Birkir Holm Guðnason, CEO of Icelandair. "This airport represents a real advantage for us as it offers excellent connections to other destinations in France and Southern Europe, perfectly meeting the demand of our passengers from our North American network. This new opportunity is a significant addition to our network.
