Double Tree by Hilton opens in Carcassonne

Double Tree by Hilton is offering a new hotel in France, with a breathtaking view of the medieval city of Carcassonne.
Double-Tree-Carcassonne
Double Tree by Hilton rhymes with Carcassonne.

Double Tree by Hilton, the American group's top-of-the-range brand, is adding a tenth establishment in France with the opening of a hotel in Carcassonne. Situated on the banks of the River Aude, the hotel boasts panoramic views of the city's historic centre. Unesco-listed cityTravellers can reach it on foot by crossing the Pont Vieux.

The hotel's medieval-inspired design is inspired by this proximity. But it's another neighbour that should also attract business tourists, as the hotel is just 50 metres from the new conference centre opened last May. For meetings, the Double Tree Carcassonne also has a 60m2 seminar room with natural lighting, and a private garden for large events.

In total, the hotel has 88 rooms, 14 junior suites and three suites offering a private terrace with city views. All rooms are equipped with HD televisions, espresso machines and desks. For relaxation, the hotel offers a spa with treatment rooms, sauna and hammam, as well as an indoor swimming pool and fitness centre.
