GETTING THERE
AER LINGUSSince May 2018, the Irish airline has been operating four weekly flights between Paris and Seattle, with a stopover in Dublin. The attraction: this is the only European airport with a US customs post. This means that all the formalities for entering the United States can be completed without stress or long queues. The arrival in Seattle - with a nine-hour time difference, it's best to remain calm - is therefore very smooth. Admittedly, the connection times are more advantageous on the outward journey than on the return, but you can take advantage of the Aer Lingus lounge in Dublin if you are travelling on business or for an entrance fee. Aer Lingus has recently started offering WiFi on board for around 15 euros for the entire flight in economy class, but free of charge in business class. From Paris, the airline offers 13 North American destinations via Dublin, including Seattle and Philadelphia, with Montreal and Minneapolis in the pipeline.

RESTAURANTS
THE LONDON PLANE

Concept store, patisserie or restaurant? All three, of course. It's a pleasure to walk through the door of this pretty pastel storefront installed in 2014, behind which you'll find exquisite bread, a pear tart worthy of a great pastry chef or healthy, tasty Mediterranean-inspired dishes served on beautiful rough-hewn wooden tables. It's a bit pricey, but definitely one of the nicest addresses in Pioneer Square.
