I fell in love with this restaurant, opened a year ago by Frenchman Vincent Farges, in a charming house in Chiado. Everything here is dazzling in its simplicity and refinement. An exceptional setting, but without ostentation, wonderfully trained staff, a 100 % Portuguese wine list for a taste experience that literally transports you. The journey begins with a detox juice to prepare the palate for the flavours that follow. Next come, in order, subtle bites of sea bass with celery and lemongrass, followed by lamb with hazelnuts, pistachios and macadamia, and many more surprises, ending with some extremely inventive sweet compositions, including a cake made with candied yuzu. The business lunch formula is ideal, and very inexpensive.
