Uber is tracing its route into the world of hotels. Hot on the heels of announcing a partnership with Expedia for hotel bookings in the US market and, in parallel, the integration of Uber journeys into the Expedia app, Uber has concluded another major partnership with the Accor group. This is a multi-market strategic partnership that will leverage the cross-referencing of loyalty programmes and will be available to all Accor ALL and Uber customers and members.
In practice, by linking their Uber account to that of the hotel group's programme, loyal Accor hotel travellers will have access, through the ALL Accor digital ecosystem, to Uber's mobility services as well as Uber Eats meal delivery. They will therefore be able to earn points, not only by taking an Uber to get to the hotel or airport, but also for their daily journeys or their home meal orders. By integrating ALL Accor into your daily life through Uber's offer, we are redefining how a loyalty programme enriches your everyday life, far beyond the traditional hotel stay. ", said Alix Boulnois, Chief Commercial, Digital & Tech Officer at Accor."
" The partnership with Accor makes travel and everyday life easier for our mutual customers, who will benefit from greater simplicity and advantages. "said Madhu Kannan, Uber's Chief Business Officer. Because on their side, Uber One members will see their programme enhanced by also benefiting from additional advantages. In parallel, members will enjoy reciprocal access to programmes with ALL Accor status upgrades for annual Uber One members and extended free trial periods of Uber One for eligible ALL Accor members.
This multi-market partnership will launch in the second half of the year in several key countries, initially covering Uber and Uber Eats services in France, Germany, and Poland. Meanwhile, in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Morocco, these benefits will only apply to Uber's mobility services.
