Communal kitchens, table football tournaments, pianos available to guests, collaborative living and working areas: At the beginning of October, Adagio unveiled at its Paris Bercy Village establishment the outline of what could soon be offered by the establishments of the long-stay brand co-managed by AccorHotels and Pierre et Vacances. This pilot project, called Stories and conceived with the design thinking agency Sismo, is based on the attraction of the famous generation Y for forms of shared accommodation, accustomed as they are to shared accommodation and solutions such as Airbnb. But above all, as well as being in tune with the times, what Adagio is looking to do with this redesigned experience is "to break the isolation of its long-stay clientele by offering them opportunities to create links with the staff, the residents of the aparthotel, the district and the town where they are staying", says Jérôme Navarre, Director of Development and Design at Aparthotels Adagio.
As soon as they enter, residents from all over the world will be able to signal their presence by hanging their photo on a map of the world, a Polaroid being provided for this purpose. They will also be able to share convivial moments - dinners, visits, sports sessions - organised by the establishment's staff or directly by guests among themselves. A new mobile application is also planned to make it easier for customers to get in touch with each other, as well as an old-school version of the board where these invitations, written in chalk, can be left in plain sight. At the same time, to make them feel at home, Adagio is adding a library of items to borrow - books, picture frames, plaids, board games - as well as a grocery shop where guests can find everything they need to make their stay a pleasant one.
