From 2026, Air France will end year-round operations on its Paris-CDG-Manila route, transforming it into a seasonal route. The airline will thus suspend its flights during the European summer season, from 4 May to 12 October 2026. In principle, however, the route will be resumed in winter.
Currently served three times a week by Airbus A350-900 since December 2024, the route will be discontinued at the end of April. This decision is part of the airlines' drive to optimise capacity between the winter and summer long-haul seasons. In the summer, European airlines tend to redeploy their wide-body aircraft to the North Atlantic, where demand is higher. Passengers will nevertheless be able to reach Manila via the networks of Skyteam partners. These include KLM via Amsterdam, Saudia and Vietnam Airlines.
Conversely, Central Europe is strengthening its connectivity with South-East Asia. LOT Polish Airlines will launch its first direct commercial flights between Warsaw and Bangkok on 26 October 2026. This new route meets a rapidly growing demand from Poland and confirms Thailand's growing appeal to European long-haul travellers.
The Polish airline will operate this flight five times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Flight LO65 will leave Warsaw in the afternoon, while the return flight LO66 will leave Bangkok in the morning, allowing connections with the rest of Europe. Tickets are already available through LOT's official sales channels.
This annual service will be the first regular non-stop service between Poland and Thailand. LOT is increasingly positioning itself as a hub airline from Warsaw. This winter, the Polish carrier will be serving Delhi, Mumbai, Seoul and Tokyo in Asia.
