Air France seems to be drawing a line under the two years of the pandemic. With almost 200 destinations served at the height of summer, Air France's offer will correspond to 90% of 2019 capacity.

A shuttle between Paris CDG and New York-JFK
To and from United StatesAir France will operate nearly 200 weekly flights to 14 destinationsThis is 20% more than in summer 2019. Suspended since the start of the crisis, service to New York-JFK from Paris-Orly reopened on 27 March, complementing the service from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. In total, up to 7 daily flights will be offered between the two cities this summer.
For the first time, Air France and Delta will be offering a shuttle-type timetable between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and New York-JFK.. That's 8 flights a day (6 Air France flights and 2 Delta flights). From early June, there will be regular departures every hour or every two hours during the day from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, as well as approximately one departure per hour from late afternoon onwards from New York JFK. From CDG, flights to JFK will take off at 8:30, 10:30, 11:30, 13:30, 14:30, 16:30, 18:30 and 19:30.
Air France has also resumed flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Dallas (Texas)offering up to 5 weekly flights. Finally, on 4 May, for the second year running, the airline will be opening its new a seasonal service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Denver (Colorado)with 3 weekly flights.
Air France is also strengthening its services to CanadaThis summer, supply was 25 % higher than before the crisis. It will thus become the Europe's leading airline in terms of capacity between Europe and Canada and will open a direct service between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Quebec City on 17 May 2022.
Africa back in force, Asia stagnates
In Africa, Air France is returning to its pre-crisis levels of activity thanks to the addition of frequencies on numerous destinations. Abidjan(Côte d'Ivoire) will be linked to Paris-Charles de Gaulle by two daily flights and seasonal connections to Zanzibar (Tanzania) and Banjul (Gambia) will be extended over the summer.
It's always Asia that traffic remains below pre-Covid crisis levels. While Air France is maintaining virtually all its destinations, these are benefiting from a reduced number of flights. The flight schedule to India (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai) will be stepped up to support the reopening of the country to international flights on 27 March 2022.
Short- and medium-haul: a stronger leisure offer at the height of summer
On the short and medium-haul network, Air France is pursuing its strategy of redeployment to leisure destinations. It will therefore offer capacity similar to pre-crisis levels in July and August, with the opening this summer of 23 seasonal routes from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. There are three new additions: Zakynthos in Greece, Tirana and Tenerife.
A Paris-Orlynew routes will be offered throughout the summer to Algiers (3 flights a day, subject to the country's reopening conditions) and Tunis (1 flight a day from 29 May), in addition to flights from Charles de Gaulle. Connections to Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca and Barialready on offer in 2021, will be extended with additional frequencies. In total, there will be 78 European destinations with flights to CDG or Orly. There are also 17 domestic routes.
Finally, Air France will be offering 47 summer routes departing from the French regions. The airports of Marseille and Nicewill each see the opening of two new routes in July. Santorini and Tunis from Marseille and Heraklion and London Heathrow from Nice. The Corsica will benefit from summer services from Bordeaux, Caen, Clermont-Ferrand, Lille, Lyon, Nantes, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris Orly, Pau, Rennes and Strasbourg.
Transavia, will operate on the domestic network from Paris-Orly to Brest, Biarritz, Montpellier, Perpignan, Pau and Toulon.
