Air France has announced growth in its passenger business, which was limited to +1.0 % in March, compared with an increase of +4.9 % in February. While traffic remained virtually stable in Asia (-0.21 %), the 6.3 % increase in capacity in this hitherto constantly growing zone led to a 5.2 point fall in the load factor, to 83.3 %. The Africa and Middle East network recorded a significant drop in traffic (-5.1 %).

As expected, airline traffic in March was affected by the disasters in Japan and geopolitical unrest in Africa and the Middle East.
