The company Air Serbia remains, alongside Turkish Airines, one of the few airlines in Europe to offer flights to Russia with possible connections to the rest of the continent. This area in the south of Russia, bordering the Black Sea and bordering Georgia and Kazakhstan, is regularly targeted by drones from Ukraine.
Lines to Sochi and Kazan suspended
Due to the insecurity in the area, many airlines have already suspended their flights. Air Serbia has just announced that it will suspend its flights from Belgrade to Sochi and Kazan from 19 and 20 January until the end of the winter season. This information was reported on 4 January by the Russian Association of Tour Operators. Both airports are regularly closed due to drone threats.
On the other hand, Air Serbia continues to operate flights from Belgrade to Moscow and St Petersburg. The airline offers two daily frequencies to Moscow and one daily frequency to St Petersburg.
Air Serbia has also announced its 2025 summer programme. Additional weekly frequencies will be introduced on around fifty routes. Among the cities that will benefit from an extra frequency per week are Brussels and Paris.. Air Serbia also serves Lyon and Nice to Belgrade.
