1.1 billion Singapore dollars - or 766.5 million euros. This is what Singapore Airlines investing in its new cabins across 41 long-haul and ultra-long-haul Airbus A350-900s. The airline aims to remain at the cutting edge of passenger comfort, particularly in its high-contribution classes.
The transformations of the cab will concern in particular the 7 ultra-long-haul aircraft. Once implemented, First Class will become a new benchmark for travel on the world's longest routes.
A complete overhaul of seat comfort in First and Business Class
Visit Business class, passengers will benefit from an even more innovative seat design. The new seats will offer even greater privacy and comfort. SIA's engineers have started from scratch to reinvent the First and Business class seats. They will benefit from an improved layout, with more space and more ergonomic features. These future seats - for which SIA is not yet giving any details - will also equip thehe next Boeing 777-9 of SIA.
In cabins Premium Economy and Economy, SIA talks more in terms of "refreshment of the product than a genuine transformation of the cab.
To complement the new cabins, the next version of the KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system will offer greater personalisation. Underpinning this is a wide range of leisure options in all classes of the new cabin. First and Business Class seats will be equipped with new in-flight entertainment screens.

Wait until 2026 to find out more
The modernised Airbus A350-900s will enter service in the second quarter of 2026. Whereas the first ULR variant will follow in the first quarter of 2027. The end of the year 2030 will mark the completion of this programme.
After refurbishment, the 34 long-haul A350-900 aircraft will offer 42 seats in Business Class, 24 seats in Premium Economy and 192 seats in Economy Class. The seven A350-900ULR aircraft will have 4 seats in First Class, 70 seats in Business Class and 58 seats in Premium Economy.
