The AirPlus Checkout application is currently being tested in Frankfurt. It was presented by AirPlus at the GBTA Europe conference in Frankfurt. Once the order has been taken by the waiter, the AirPlus Checkout application transmits all the relevant information concerning the bill for the business meal, thus providing greater visibility over these expenses, which are often beyond the company's control or take up a considerable amount of time to manage. In addition to being easily integrated into the company's IT system, it can also be paid online by the traveller, via their smartphone. In addition to the catering aspect, AirPlus is currently looking into other avenues of development, and plans to integrate into the AirPlus Checkout application functionalities relating to parking tickets, taxi expenses "and many other travel-related services".
