Almaty: a new ibis hotel, awaiting a Novotel Living

Accor is adding a new hotel in Kazakhstan with the opening of an ibis in Almaty, in a dual-brand complex which will also house a Novotel Living next March.

The Accor group is strengthening its offering in Kazakhstan with the unveiling of an ibis hotel in Almaty, ahead of the opening in the first quarter of 2022 of a Novotel Living within the same complex. This dual-brand project revisits one of the country's oldest hotels, the Jetisu, which has been extensively rebuilt and redesigned to accommodate both a budget hotel and a top-of-the-range establishment dedicated to long stays. This multifunctional complex, located close to the city's main attractions and a metro station and 10 kilometres from the airport, also includes a spa and a shopping centre.

Already present in Kazakhstan at Aktobe and Nur-Sultan, the former Astana, the Accor group's budget brand is offering Almaty 166 rooms17 of which are Premium rooms, all equipped with a workspace. The design of the hotel, both the rooms and the public areas, is based on one of the concepts accompanying the contemporary evolution of the brandproduced by the Urbon Design studio.

In fact, next March, the complex will see the opening of a Novotel de 55 suites and premium suites from 40 to 60 m2 with kitchenettes. Travellers can also take advantage of a 50-person meeting room, a fitness centre and laundry services. On the food and beverage front, the complex features Line Brew, a restaurant specialising in grilled meats with an open-air barbecue area and its own brasserie.

Also in the former USSR, Accor has announced the opening in 2023 ofa new ibis Styles hotel in Tbilisiin Georgia. Located in one of the oldest districts of Tbilisi - Kalaubani - and on the longest street in the old town, the future ibis Styles Old Tbilisi hotel will have 67 rooms, a restaurant and a bar.
