The acquisition of new aircraft from the Airbus A320 family had already been made official by American Airlines last July. The American airline's choice became clearer this week: it will be Airbus A319s and A321s. A total of 130 aircraft are due to contribute to the renewal of the American Airlines fleet from 2013. The stated aim is to improve passenger comfort while limiting fuel consumption.
