To improve the quality of service and reduce environmental impact: these are the two development goals that guided the design of the new terminal inaugurated on 26 May at the airport Annecy Haute-Savoie Mont-Blanc
The project will require 18 months of work and an investment of €2.5 million. It is part of a total investment plan of €10 million, launched by VINCI Airports upon the resumption of the public service concession, in 2022.
The passenger journey will therefore be significantly improved, with modernised spaces, the creation of three passenger lounges – compared to only one previously – and a dedicated space for crews. Furthermore, a new forecourt will now facilitate access for people with reduced mobility.
On an environmental level, VINCI Airports promises a reduction of 30 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per year in carbon emissions. This decrease is made possible by ceasing the use of gas, improved thermal insulation, and precise monitoring equipment for water and electricity consumption.
