Since this Thursday 22 October, l'Marseille Provence airport is the first French platform to be equipped with the new antigenic testspromising to deliver the results to passengers in less than 20 minutes. Those in charge of the Marseilles platform state that this trial phase will be rapidly followed by official deployment. This is scheduled for Monday 26 OctoberThis is the same date as the planned launch of antigen tests at the Paris airports ofOrly and CDG.

The antigenic tests will be carried out in a screening centre installed Terminal 1 Hall Aat the airport information desk. They are reserved for travellers who have just landed at Marseille Provence airport as well as for departing passengers, on the basis of the volunteeringand free of charge.

However, the new antigen testing system does not replace RT-PCR tests for the countries most affected by the virus, i.e. a list of 24 destinations. At Marseille Provence airport, only Turkey is concerned, and passengers will need to present a PCR test that is less than 72 hours old.
