The Audi on demand service has recently been trialled in San Francisco, enabling users to reserve the vehicle of their choice - from among the German manufacturer's various models - for a maximum period of 28 days via the eponymous application. The vehicle is then delivered to the home, office or address of the user's choice via a concierge system. By providing the vehicle, the concierge can check with the driver what administrative documents are required - a process that will only be carried out when the vehicle is hired for the first time - and answer any questions he or she may have. It is not yet known on what scale and how soon Audi plans to extend its offer, which could well be of interest to more than one business traveller.
