Delta Air Lines has decided to finance 40 automatic passport-reading machines for New York's JFK airport to speed up immigration formalities. For the moment, the machines can only read US passports, but they have already contributed to a significant reduction in queues. Entry formalities at JFK were recently described in a report as the slowest in the United States.
