After several years' suspension following Covid, Avianca resumed its direct service between Paris-CDG airport and Bogota, the Colombian capital, on 4 July. The flight is operated by Boeing B787 with 3 services per week (Monday, Thursday and Saturday) until 15 July, then with five frequencies (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday) departing from CDG at 8.40am and arriving at 12.40pm the same day due to the time difference. Flights departing from the Colombian capital are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 1.25pm, landing in Paris at 6.40am on D+1.

For this route, Avianca, a member of the Star Alliance, has chosen to operate a Dreamliner configured as a two-class aircraft with a 222-seat economy cabin and, above all, 28 seats in "Avianca Insignia" front class. " This flight is aimed at all types of passengers, particularly business customers, who have a very strong presence in the Colombian market thanks to our connections from our Bogota hub with cities such as Medellin, Cartagena and Pereira.says Rolando Damas, Avianca's Managing Director for North and Central America, Europe and Asia. The route also offers good connections with other South American cities such as Lima, Quito, San José in Costa Rica and São Paulo." . The Aviareps agency is the carrier's representative in France, where it provides commercial management services, marketing operations and sales promotion for distributors and companies.
Avianca back on track thanks to tourism

In particular in Europe, where it now offers more than forty weekly flights. That's around 21,000 seats, with 7 frequencies on London-Bogota, 21 on Madrid-Bogota, 7 on Barcelona-Bogota, 4 on Madrid-Medellin and 3 on Madrid-Cali. " 2023 was a record year for Avianca in terms of growth and profitability" says Rolando Damas.
With a fleet of 140 A320 and B787 aircraft, the Colombian airline operates 140 routes linking 75 different destinations in 25 countries the American and European continents. Avianca's return to the forefront is also linked to Colombia's success as a tourist destination over the past three years, with 5.8 million foreign visitors last year, an increase of 24% compared to 2022, and 174% compared to 2021. The number of services is increasing. In addition to Paris, Avianca has also launched a Bogota-Montreal route, while Emirates has inaugurated a Dubai-Bogota route, Lufthansa a Frankfurt-Bogota route and its subsidiary Edelweiss Air with its Zurich-Bogota-Carthagena rotation.
