Barrière Hotels is changing its name to Barrière Collection. A name that could not be more fashionable in the hotel world and which, as part of a new segmentation of its offer, is even taking the form of four distinct sub-collections. One, the Signature Collection, brings together the gotha of the family group now presided over by Joy Desseigne-Barrière and Alexandre Barrière: the four establishments of the Fouquet's brand. Until a few days ago, there were only two of them.
Indeed, after its original hotel inaugurated in 2006 just above the famous brasserie on the Champs-Elysées, then opening in 2022 of its New York cousin in the Tribeca district, two of the group's hotels joined the brand on 1 January.er Last December: the Hôtel Barrière Les Neiges Courchevel, a mountain palace with 42 rooms and suites, and the luxurious Carl Gustaf resort on the island of Saint-Barthélémy.

Both have been elevated to the rank of Fouquet's, adding further dimension to a collection of ultra-luxury hotels that is undoubtedly only waiting to grow, along the lines of brands surfing on the aura of prestigious names such as Raffles, St Regis, Waldorf Astoria or Orient Express. According to an interview with AFP by Grégory Rabuel, CEO of the Barrière group, quoted by Les Echos: " We will be developing Fouquet's hotel projects around the world. "he stressed.
In addition to this Signature Collection, grouped around the current and future Fouquet's, the Group has created a second collection, called Heritage, based around its heritage establishments, each of which is a glory in its own right, such as the Normandy in Deauville, the Majestic in Cannes, the Hermitage in La Baule and the Westminster. in Le Touquet.
Focused on top-of-the-range establishments that target both leisure and business customers, the Premium Collection includes hotels that combine casino and MICE facilities, such as the Barrière resorts in Lille and Ribeauvillé, the Grand Hôtel in Enghien-les-Bains and the Gray d'Albion in Cannes.

Finally, the last of the segments, the more intimate Address collection oscillates between luxury hotels and private residences under the Maison Barrière brand. While this collection currently has just one representative, the Maison Barrière Paris Vendôme, a 26-room boutique hotel with a feminine spirit opened this year, it is expecting another in 2026, this time in Lisbon: the Maison Barrière Príncipe Real.
With 20 hotels today, almost all of them in France with the exception of Fouquet's New York and Naoura in Marrakech, and the future Maison Barrière in Lisbon, the Barrière Collection is undoubtedly counting on this clearer, more legible brand architecture for travellers and investors alike to underpin its international development ambitions.
