Britair eases up on Lyon

Britair will soon be closing three of the international routes operated from Lyon airport due to a lack of profitability. Flights to Prague, Birmingham and Hamburg will disappear from the airline's schedule in 2012.

Britair's financial difficulties will have forced the Air France subsidiary to reduce its operations at Lyon airport. Faced with the lack of profitability of the three European routes concerned - Prague, Birmingham and Hamburg - the airline's schedule will no longer include these three destinations from April 2012. The Czech capital is currently served twice a day from Lyon airport, compared with a daily flight to Birmingham and Hamburg.
