The Brueghel family left their mark on art history with their vision of humanity, beginning with the relationship between Brueghel the Elder and Hieronymus Bosch. Influenced by the latter, he passed on to his sons, Pieter the Younger and Jan the Elder, the art of medieval cartoons and the grotesque. Pieter Brueghel the Younger's Seven Works of Mercy, in which the various representations of charity are exalted, is a must-see, alongside Jerome Bosch's Seven Deadly Sins.
