Brussels Airlines, via its Brussels hub, is strengthening its strategic role in services to the African continent. From next April, several destinations will benefit from an increased offer. Cameroon in particular, where Yaoundé will be served six times a week, compared with twice at present, while Douala will benefit from a daily flight compared with three weekly flights today. The airline is abandoning its route to Accra, the capital of Ghana, which will continue to be served via Frankfurt by Lufthansa, in order to concentrate on the fast-growing Ivorian market, which will benefit from a daily service between Brussels and Abidjan. In addition, Nairobi will see the addition of a fourth frequency and Bujumbura in Burundi will benefit from three flights a week. These destinations will see the introduction of the new Brussels Airlines cabin, which will be presented at the beginning of 2012 and will include a new seat-bed in Business Class and seats equipped with an individual in-flight entertainment system in Economy.
