With a solid catalogue of African destinations, Brussels Airlines is looking after its business customers with appropriate infrastructures. The renovation of the Sunrise lounge, officially completed on 7 July, is part of this approach. Located in Zone T at Brussels airport, this lounge is designed to welcome long-haul business class passengers prior to their flight to sub-Saharan Africa.
"We are delighted to offer our passengers travelling to theAfrica a welcoming, top-of-the-range lounge that meets the needs of long-haul travellers, such as rest and relaxation, good food and the opportunity to work"says Dorothea von Boxberg. The CEO of Brussels Airlines adds: "By focusing on what really matters to our customers, we are proud of our new Sunrise lounge. What's more, this complete transformation underlines our strong and long-standing link with the African continent.".
Among the new facilities awaiting business travellers in this Sunrise lounge are shower cubicles and the installation of five "rest areas" for sleeping. On the gastronomic front, we should mention the installation of a very 'local' beer pump, allowing travellers to brew their own Belgian beer. In addition, the renovation of the Sunrise lounge has given it a new dimension: the number of seats has been increased by 25 %.
Other renovation projects expected

"Thanks to the renewal of the Brussels Airlines Sunrise Lounge and the improvements made by Brussels Airport in this area, passengers travelling from our T-zone can spend their time at the boarding gate in an even more comfortable and convenient environment.". Airport management is also planning other renovation projects for Zone T in the coming months and in 2024.
