Turkish Airlines will also be landing in Cambodia at the end of the year. The airline is due to begin flights on 10 December. It will operate three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays on the Airbus A330-300 route Istanbul-Bangkok-Phnom Penh. At the same time, the number of frequencies on the Istanbul-Bangkok route will be increased from 21 to 24 weekly flights.
And finally.., Emirates has just announced its arrival at Siem Reap-Angkor airport. La Dubai company will also be making a stopover in Bangkok on this route, which will operate three times a week from 3 June.
In 2024, Phnom Penh-Pochentong airport recorded a 19% increase in passenger numbers., a total of 4.75 million passengerss. Admittedly, this figure is still 21% below the previous year's result. 2019 which saw the Cambodian platform surpass for the first time thehe 6 million passengers. But we can now expect Phnom Penh to approach, or even exceed, 5.5 million passengers by 2025.
This traffic should be boosted by the opening of the new international airport in the Cambodian capitalwhich will have a capacity of 12 million passengers. All this from July.
