Cambodia, the new star destination for Gulf carriers

This will be an exceptional year for Cambodian air transport. In addition to the opening of the new Phnom Penh international airport, three new intercontinental routes will be inaugurated with Emirates, Etihad and Turkish Airlines.

Cambodia's aviation market is really taking off. Still marginalised a few years ago, the kingdom is beginning to attract intercontinental carriers, particularly from the Gulf. There are already daily flights - with a stopover - fromEmirates from Dubai to Phnom Penh and Qatar Airways from Doha to the Cambodian capital.

Three new intercontinental flights will be added during the year: Etihad Airways has just announced the launch of 4 weekly non-stop flights between Abu Dhabi and Phnom Penh.. Flights will be operated by Airbus A321LR from 3 October.. A fifth weekly flight will be launched on 6...
