It's the next logical step for a destination committed to eco-responsibility. Already ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 18788 (Safety & Security) certified from 2019, the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes was awarded the ISO 20121 (Responsible Events) label last year. These prerequisites have now enabled the city to achieve the status of "Innovative Sustainable Destination". Cannes has also been awarded the status of "Responsible International Destinations" pilot city for 2019.
The new Cannes label was officially launched on 21 Juneat the Annual General Meeting of France Congrès et Evénements organised in Paris. This new status rewards the efforts made by the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, through the eco-design and responsible and sustainable operation of new shows, sustainable waste management and - from this year - the use of 100% green electricity.
