Europe of course, the Americas with a hotel in Los Angeles, soon the Asian continent and the Middle East with an opening expected at the end of the year in Dubai... All that was left for Mama Shelter to do was aterritory to explore: Africa. This should be a reality by 2024, with a project recently announced in Morocco's main metropolis, Casablanca.
" We are extremely enthusiastic about the idea of creating the first Mama Shelter in Morocco, and the first in Africa." said Cédric Gobilliard, Chief Operating Officer of Mama Shelter and Head of Southern and Central Europe for Ennismore, the joint venture between Accor and the founder of The Hoxton for the development of lifestyle hotels around the world. To make its debut in Morocco, the brand will inject its lifestyle spirit into a real estate project developed by the Kuwaiti group Alargan International. This mixed-use complex, called Saray, will include residential buildings, offices, boutiques, leisure areas and a hotel, the Saray. Mama Shelter Saray Casablanca.
Located in the residential area of Princesses, in the heart of the city, the hotel offers 92 rooms and 49 flats for travellers, all set against a backdrop of hanging gardens and green spaces.
The hotel has three swimming pools - including the longest in the city - a rooftop lounge and a restaurant. For business meetings, the Mama Shelter Saray Casablanca will also host a meeting room more and more event spaces, particularly on the terraces.
