The Royal Mansour Casablanca is resuming its prestigious history. The first five-star hotel in the Moroccan business capital and a meeting point for visiting celebrities since it opened in 1953, the palace closed its doors in 2015 for renovation. A renovation that turned into a complete demolition for rebuild on new foundationstaller and more luxurious. Eight years of work, time for a renaissance that involved up to 1,000 workers a day and 30,000 m² of marble.
The modernist silhouette of the façade, the patio designed by landscape artist Luis Vallejo that recalls the winter garden of yesteryear, the monumental spiral staircase: the palace, which has just reopened, reincarnates in its own way the original architecture designed by Emile-Jean Duhon. A link between the glorious past and modernity, the glamour of yesteryear meets the luxury of todayThe hotel has a refined, art-filled atmosphere throughout. Notably from the moment you arrive in the lobby, with a monumental work by Charles Kalpakian, a stylised map of Casablanca seen from the sky with a 1930s feel.
Its 149 rooms and suites feature a modernised Art-Deco style, with fine woods and geometrically patterned carpets. The top 23 floors of the hotel boast the ultimate in luxury, with signature suites and private flats complete with butler service. The most emblematic, the Suite Royale, spans 1,200 m² and houses four bedrooms, a cinema room, a fitness centre and a spa with hammam. This suite, accessible by a private lift, is crowned by a hanging garden at 24 o'clock.e floor, with panoramic views over the city, the Atlantic and the Great Mosque.
As well as offering elegant comfort, the Royal Mansour Casablanca also aims to establish itself as a leading hotel in Morocco. a leading centre for gastronomy with, at the very top of the hotel, a great Moroccan table offered by the chef who also officiates at the Royal Mansour Marrakech, Karim Ben Baba, as well as a sushi bar and a chic French-style brasserie.
