It will have taken just over two years for the tarmac of airports in Conakry (Guinea) and Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) an aircraft in the colours of the Belgian carrier Brussels Airlines. This has been the case since 11 June.
Since then, Brussels Airlines has been connecting Brussels to the two capitals three times a week. Flights between Brussels and Ouagadougou and Brussels and Conakry are operated by an Airbus A330.. The early morning arrival in Brussels offers connections to the entire Brussels Airlines network in Europe and the United States.

This means that we now have the necessary experience to relaunch our direct route between two major African capitals: Conakry and Ouagadougou, and our base, Brussels Airport. This is an important step that once again confirms our major role as a bridge between Europe and Africa." said Philippe Saeys-Desmedt, Head of Sales Sub-Saharan Africa for Brussels Airlines and the Lufthansa Group. With Conakry and Ouagadougou, Brussels Airlines' Sub-Saharan Africa network now includes 17 destinations.
What's more, Brussels Airlines has integrated its website on the Lufthansa Group's common platform. This development has led to a number of improvements for passengers. The joint platform now offers the lowest fares for the entire Lufthansa Group. and not just Brussels Airlines. In addition, all timetable options are available, offering total flexibility and a vast choice of direct flights or connections via one of the group's hubs (Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna or Zurich).
