Latin American cowboys descend on Trinidad from the mountains of the Sierra del Escambray.
Many of the first settlers in Cienfuegos were French, coming from Bordeaux and Louisiana. Like Havana and Trinidad, Cienfuegos is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This port and commercial city flourished in the mid-19th century, and still retains the elegance of that period.
