Denmark: self-portraits at Humlebaek

The self-portrait is a classic in the history of painting, a tried and tested genre, but also a very intense one that can take on many different expressions.

The Louisiana Museum has selected 150 major works from the 20th and 21st centuries from a wide range of international artists who tell the story of self-representation. The artist's expression can be seen in all of them. But is it a dream projection, a fanciful imagination or an interpretation of reality? There's an answer for everyone, but above all it's an opportunity to see, side by side, talents as diverse as Bonnard, Egon Schiele, de Chirico, Mapplethorpe, Frida Khalo, Dalí, Warhol, Basquiat and many others. Until 13 January 2013. "Self-Portraits.
