Perhaps because of its lack of gas and oil resources, Tunis has been able to set an example of successful economic diversification, relying on its technopoles and service platforms. Algiers, the capital of a country rich in hydrocarbons, is also a symbol of change, industrial revival and new trade relations with Europe. With its major projects - metro, tramway, business centres - it is trying to catch up with its North African sisters. Like Casablanca, whose Casanearshore brings together call centres and the headquarters of IT and financial groups, and which has also won over the aeronautics industry and hopes to attract companies working in renewable energy in the future.
