The arrival of the m-ticket in France was made official on Thursday 6 February by Deutsche Bahn, which has already launched the service on its French website. Accessible right up to departure time, the mobile ticket is operational on the Franco-German cross-border network, for journeys from France to all German stations, and for journeys within the German network itself. "We know that the French are very keen on smartphones, and we can see that more and more passengers are using their phones to book their train tickets," explains Daniel Beutler, Chairman and CEO of DBFrance. "That's why we decided to introduce the m-ticket in France. Thanks to this new application, we are in a position to meet the expectations of today's travellers," he adds.
