El Al goes smartphone entertainment with DreamStream

El Al is adopting DreamStream technology on board its flights to and from Europe, enabling business travellers to access streaming entertainment programmes directly from their own mobile devices.

The DreamStream service, which enables the airline's passengers to access entertainment programmes from their personal devices, is already available on three of the airline's aircraft. Integration of the system is due to be completed within one year on the 737-800, 737-900 and 767 aircraft in the fleet. To access the service, passengers must first download DreamStream by EL AL onto their smartphones or tablets, or Microsoft Silverlight for laptops. "EL AL is one of the first airlines in the world and the first in Europe to offer a streaming service on routes to and from Europe, providing innovative information and offering a new entertainment experience," says David Maimon, CEO of EL AL.
