Since Thursday 4 April, Israeli carrier El Al has been offering a direct service between Nice and Tel Aviv. These routes are offered on the basis of three times a weekon Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. These flights, which last almost four hours, are operated either by Boeing 737-900s with 172 seats, including 16 Business, or by B737-800s with 154 seats, including 16 Business.
After easyJet and Air France, El Al is the third airline to position itself on this fast-growing route, with 60,000 passengers last year, an increase of +53 %. Of these, business travellers accounted for only 5 % of trafficThis compares with 40 % for tourism and 55 % for visits to relatives.
