Emirates opens its lounge at Roissy 2C

A new lounge has just opened at Roissy 2C airport. At the same time as its transfer from terminal 1 to terminal 2C last December, the Dubai-based airline Emirates inaugurated its own lounge reserved for its business and premier customers. This represents a move upmarket for the Gulf carrier, since until now Emirates has been using the lounges in terminal 1 that Aéroports de Paris rents out to airlines that do not have their own lounges. With a surface area of 550 m2, the Emirates lounge is adjacent to the boarding area used by the airline. A special boarding gate gives passengers direct access to the aircraft located just a few steps from the lounge. This includes a work area equipped with computers and Internet access, showers, a dining room serving hot and cold meals, etc. This catering service means that passengers taking the airline's night flight to Dubai can dine before boarding, giving them more time to sleep on board. This improved service at Roissy will go hand in hand with the capacity increase planned for next spring. At the end of March, Emirates will increase the number of weekly flights between Paris and Dubai from twelve to fourteen. With the three existing weekly services from Nice, Emirates is the foreign airline offering the largest number of long-haul flights from France in the west-east direction. While the Dubai destination is enjoying growing success, the airline also markets in France its entire network to India, Asia, Australia... via its hub in Dubai.
