Set up on 1st August 2022 on the line Paris-Dubaiclass Premium Economy composed of 56 seats on A380 has already been discontinued. It is no longer offered on the route to the Gulf emirate. This is due to the repositioning by the Dubai-based company A380 which were flying between Paris CDG and Dubai on other long-haul routes, needing capacity to meet international demand from its hub, as the new A380s chosen to replace them are not yet equipped with this reconfigured cabin. Moreover, according to the travel agencies interviewed, the pricing of a trip in this class was complicated when the aircraft operating the second leg beyond Dubai was not equipped with Premium Economy.
No date has yet been set for his return to Paris-Dubai.
In the spring of 2022, Emirates communicated extensively in France about this launch, stating that it would be " the only Gulf carrier to offer a Premium Economy class "which went on sale on 1st June 2022. " Customers will enjoy a level of service superior to that of economy class, with excellent value for money." said Sir Tim Clark, Chairman of Emirates, in a press release at the time.
" Thanks to the modernisation programme currently underway on its aircraft, Emirates intends to equip a greater number of its aircraft with this Premium Economy Class and thus bring it back to the Paris-Dubai route as soon as possible." said Emirates' communications department, without giving a date. This new class should eventually be offered on 126 devices of the carrier to the rhythm of refurbishment of its A380 and B777 aircraft. The Emirati company currently operates three daily A380 flights from Paris, one flight a day from Nice - which will be operated by A380 from 1 June - and 5 flights a week from Lyon (which will become daily from 1 February) operated by Boeing B777.
